- One of Chicago’s best equipped multimedia event facilities, this historic theater has been an integral part of the entertainment scene since it opened in the 1920s as the Altgeld vaudeville theater. Several format and name changes later, we were transformed in 1977 into our current form, the fabulous Park West! Park West has been not only the premier concert location for nationally recognized entertainers, but also a unique meeting and special events space.
